Subway Entrance at 14th Street
Seventh Avenue in Chelsea used to be MY territory—the stretch between 23rd and 14th streets was where I went to school, hung out, and lingered. I used to know every single shop and restaurant there. The thing with New York, though, is you can’t get too attached to anything because everything changes so quickly. I recently went back to Chelsea and was shocked at how many new, all-glass luxury buildings have sprung up (side note: do we REALLY need so many goddamn ugly glass buildings with no character?). Of course some of the restaurants and bars that I frequented are no longer around, either. I stared down 7th and felt kind of forlorn. At least the subway entrance at 18th street is still there.

An individual who NEVER gives someone the address to a place because it’s utterly useless in the city (450 Park Ave. South? USELESS); said individual knows the proper way to pinpoint a location is to give out the cross streets instead (i.e. Park Ave. South and 31st Street).
