Spaghetti Incident
There are A LOT of Italian restaurants in the city, and I’m sure a lot of people feel very strongly about their favorites. I have a few good places that I like to go, and Spaghetti Incident is one of them. They actually have two side-by-side locations: one is a small, charming full-service restaurant while the location next door serves the same spaghetti in a cone for takeouts. The restaurant has a really cozy atmosphere that features simple decor with exposed brick and antique(-looking?) furniture. It’s definitely a date spot. More important, the pasta is amazing here! I vacillate between the Chitarra (with homemade mozarella, basil, and fresh chopped tomato sauce) and the Bucatini Amatriciana, both of which have not disappointed. If it gets crowded, head on over to the takeout location next door, and you can get your pasta almost immediately. They have a few seats at the takeout location, too. You just don’t get the nice, cozy decor of the restaurant.
One small thing to note: the eat-in restaurant doesn’t take credit cards but the takeout place does. I wonder why that is?
