Momofuku Ko
I have a confession to make: Unlike the eight million New Yorkers and countless tourists, I actually did not like Momofuku Noodle Bar when I tried it in like 2010. I thought it was, for lack of a better word, meh. I naturally didn’t have high expectations for David Chang’s flagship restaurant, Momofuku Ko, so it was kinda cool to be pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the entire experience (I mean, yes, it’s a two-star restaurant so of course the service was impeccable), especially the food. I thought the dishes were very inventive AND delicious, which is kind of a hard combo to achieve sometimes. The decor is also really tasteful, with lots of wood and concrete. After watching David Chang’s “Ugly Delicious” on Netflix, I have also developed an admiration for him as a person. He strikes me as someone who is open-minded and kind and obviously extremely knowledgeable about food. I should give the noodle bar another try.

An individual who NEVER gives someone the address to a place because it’s utterly useless in the city (450 Park Ave. South? USELESS); said individual knows the proper way to pinpoint a location is to give out the cross streets instead (i.e. Park Ave. South and 31st Street).
