Last Days of Summer at Shore Road Park
I don’t know how this happened, but I only visited the Shore Road Park for the first time after living in NYC for 15 years. It is a wonderful stretch right along the water, with views of the magnificent Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. My friends and I biked from downtown Brooklyn at a really leisurely pace and made it to the northern end of the park in half an hour. Once there, I felt like I wasn’t even in the city anymore. It is the perfect way to spend a lazy summer afternoon.
