The Oculus by famed architect Santiago Calatrava is one of the most interesting modern architectural gems in the Financial District. The white spiny structure is supposed to resemble a dove taking flight when seen from the outside. From the interior, one sees an elliptical dome formed by softly-curving white steel ribs that rise from below the ground. These white ribs give the interior a futuristic vibe. I don’t think you need any photography skill to take a cool photo here.
