When you come to New York, you cannot miss a trip to the luxury shopping destination of Bergdorf Goodman. Not necessarily to purchase anything ‘cuz, um, their prices aren’t exactly budget-friendly, but to admire the creative window display installations—especially during the holiday season. In 1914, Edwin Goodman, one of the two original owners—the other being Herman Bergdorf—became the first couturier to introduce ready-to-wear which made Bergdorf Goodman a shopping mecca for American and French fashion. Another fun fact: one of the earlier Bergdorf Goodman locations was actually what is now Rockefeller Center.
